Another Miracle from God

Tam nhin minhThis is our little lovey, Caleb. Those curious eyes! He’s had them since he was in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit). He loves to snuggle. And I take advantage of every snuggling moment he gives :).

Caleb is another miracle from the Lord. Seven years ago today, he entered the world fast, fierce, and eight weeks premature.

From the onset, Cabes or Calo, as we like to call him, was a fighter. Our pastor and church family prayed over me when an infection gave us a scare in the first trimester. I fell twice while he was in my belly; the first time off a bike and the second on icy pavement. Thank God, he was safe both times!

When he was 32 weeks old, I had another infection which sent me to the ER at 5:00 a.m. on March 27, 2010. Two and a half hours later, Caleb was born. Surprising us all! The delivery doctor told us we came in at just the right time and that someone was watching over our son. If we waited longer to get to the hospital, he may not have survived. I thank God for His perfect timing and for watching over Calo!

As we celebrate our lovey today, I’m reminded of God’s goodness and love for our family. Though my heart yearns for more children to love, I am tremendously grateful for the boys God has entrusted to Scott and me. I can’t imagine not having them in my life. Thank you Father! Thank you!!
